Meeting Notes for HSA Meeting, September 2026

Welcome back to a new school year! The G.W. Childs HSA kicked off the year and shared several exciting updates:

Programs & Support: Learn about before/after care, break camps, the Mindset of Champions tech & robotics club, and the community Family Market providing fresh produce.
Playground Project: Thanks to a $25,000 grant, design concepts for a refreshed playground are underway! Studio Ludo will present design concepts at our next HSA meeting.
Get Involved: We need parent volunteers to support our school library, Family Market, and schoolyard cleanups. Free English classes will also be offered in the library every Thursday!
Upcoming Fundraisers: Get ready for our Walk & Wheel-a-thon, an inclusive event celebrating all students while raising funds for our school! Plus, check out our new school swag online and look out for election day bake sales.
